How Age Is Calculated
Age calculators use date arithmetic, not simple subtraction. The steps are:
From birth date to today. If today is before the birthday month/day this year, subtract 1.
After removing full years, count how many complete months have passed since the last birthday.
After removing full months, count remaining days. Account for different month lengths (28, 29, 30, or 31 days).
Full years: 35 (birthday in March has passed in 2025)
Remaining months: March 15 → June 10 = 2 months
Remaining days: May 15 → June 10 = 26 days
Age = 35 years, 2 months, 26 days
